    This is to inform you that we will be conducting a server hardware upgrade for customers on our Shared Hosting Servers (angmokio.apc.sg) on 18th May 2018 (Friday). We will be upgrading our SSD Harddisks to provide better performance to our customers.

    Please do not make changes to your files, database or e-mails after 18th May 2018 (Friday), 7.00pm (GMT+8) as we will be proceeding to move the data over after that. There will be expected down time during this period as hosting accounts and data are being moved to the new server. The full migration will be expected to finish by 18th May 2018 (Friday), 11.59pm (GMT+8).

    There will be no changes to your nameservers ns7.apc.sg (124.6.61.32) and ns8.apc.sg(103.14.214.9). Similarly for customers with dedicated IPs, there are no changes to your dedicated IPs. While there is no action required on your end, we advise you to backup your data for any unforeseen circumstances.

    CAUSE: Web Service Failure

    Currently we are facing a server outage on 124.6.61.130 (kovan.apc.sg) as of 8:45am (+8 GMT). Server has been rebooted and recovered as of 9:28am (+8 GMT) with all services running with the exception of web services. We have reported to our vendor and is troubleshooting the issue urgently.

    We sincerely apologise for the inconvenience caused.

    Update on 6th January 10:12am (+8GMT):
    Web services has been recovered as of 9:53am (+8GMT) and all services are up and running.

    Reason for Outage
    Identified cause of web service failure and steps taken to prevent similar occurrence. NIC card abnormalities were also observed causing network issue which was resolved by rebooting server. Due to first occurrence of NIC card abnormalities we are monitoring further.

    Update on 10th Aug 2016, 7.00PM

    We faced a network outage as of 5.45pm (+8 GMT) and immediately took action at 6.00pm. After which there was still some intermittent network connectivity issues. However as of 6.40pm full network service was restored. We will provide more details once our investigations are completed.

    Reason for Outage

    We have investigated the reason for the network outage which happens earlier today. It was due to a large DDoS attack on our network. Although mitigation has swiftly taken place within 15 minutes of the attack, the mitigation did not work well, resulting in intermittent outage still. After some further mitigation fine-tuning, network was finally fully recovered at 6.40PM.

    We sincerely apologize for the inconvenience caused by this attack and will be taking this seriously to improve our mitigation effectiveness, even though it is the first time that our DDoS protection did not work as intended.

    We will be working with our DDoS mitigation provider to ensure our migitation works promptly and effectively to prevent such a long delay in the future again.
